
Maya M. Younis is a Founding and Co-Managing Partner of Younis Law, PLLC. Ms. Younis represents clients in complex family law matters, with a particular focus on high-conflict divorce, custody, and post-judgment litigation.
Ms. Younis brings extensive courtroom experience and a strong understanding of judicial decision-making to her practice. She previously served as a judicial attorney in the Family Division of the Third Circuit Court, where she worked closely with the bench on a wide range of domestic relations matters. She also clerked for the Oakland County Circuit Court and served as a judicial intern in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Ms. Younis has experience handling complex and high-stakes matters involving domestic violence, substance abuse, and significant financial or custodial disputes. Her broader litigation background includes work on federal claims involving Title IX and related matters.
Ms. Younis earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she served as Executive Vice President of the Student Bar Association and President of the Women’s Law Caucus. During law school, she gained practical experience through clinical work, judicial clerkships, and litigation-focused roles, including contributions to complex federal litigation and nonprofit advocacy efforts.
